A Girl And Your Dog is a fully licensed, bonded and insured professional dog care company servicing the Potrero Hill and SOMA neighborhoods of San Francisco. We have been taking care of dogs for over 14 years and continue loving every minute of it.
Littles
5 day a week outdoor social fun (playgroup) is our specialty but we offer other services to make urban life with your city canine a more positive experience. If you have an extra long work day, your pup can stay for daycare. If Fido doesn’t like going on planes, he can live in our home while you’re away. Need a weekend/holiday playgroup? No problem, there’s a group for that. Pickups and drop offs are always included.
If you want your dog to have a fun, safe and exhilarating experience, let’em hang out with A Girl And Your Dog. We encourage polite play and good manners and teach every member of playgroup that we are the center of their universe. Training based on this principle makes the rest a breeze. If your pup is stubborn and doesn’t come when called, let ‘em loose with us and you will see rocket recalls in no time at all.

Charlie
Charlie is originally from Baja California, Mexico. She discovered her love for dogs as a child while spending hours in her yard play training her Belgian Shepherd Trinka. Charlie always remembers that Trinka would do exactly as she asked as long as there was fun food and lots of attention involved, she is still fluent in dog fun. She started her first dog walking service 2 Girls Walk Dogs in San Francisco in 1995 shortly after finishing an MFA from UC Davis. During the past 14 years she has built a creative and successful dog business and art career simultaneously. 2 Girls Walk Dogs was renamed A Girl And Your Dog when her business partner retired in 2005. Charlie has volunteered countless hours at the San Francisco SPCA assisting in puppy training classes and continues her pursuit of learning everything dog. When not out playing with dogs, Charlie can be found in her art studio accompanied usually by several of her canine companions.

Caroline has been working as Playgroup Supervisor for A Girl and Your Dog since September of 2008. Her love of animals began when she was six with the first of 5 hamsters named Ralph. Since then, she has proudly parented 2 cats, several goldfish, a ferret, a tree frog, and two dogs. Her current animal family includes Kaimann, a very sophisticated tuxedo cat who has been her constant traveling companion for the past 13 years; and Billy, a 1 YEAR OLD clown puppy, adopted from Pound Puppy Rescue.
Originally from Ohio, Caroline has been living in California since 2004. Since moving to the West Coast, she has earned a BFA, an MFA, and her professional dog walker certification from DogTec.
